HUMAN ERROR CAUSES WRECKS

“Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good; impatience will get you into trouble.  Some people ruin themselves by their own stupid actions and then blame the Lord.”  (Proverbs 19:2-3 GNT)

If you look up one of many articles on the causes of car wrecks, you will see that most of the articles are centered around the theme of human error as being the top cause.  Yes, this general reason can be broken down to specific reasons such as the lack of formal training, distractions, choosing to drive under the influence of harmful substances, disregarding signals, and just outright recklessness.  I see these errant, delinquent drivers every time I get in my car and travel to a destination near or far.  The problem is that not only is the driver is put at risk, but so are others.

When it comes to causing wrecks in our lives, the same theme is applicable: human error.  A number of individuals lack the formal training that comes from diligently studying the word of God continuously; a source that has all the instructions needed for traveling down the roads of life.  There are people distracted by temptation, the towering presence of peer pressure, and the taunting desires of the flesh.  Many people are distracted by focusing on the rough patches of life and their cognition omits the recognition that God will make your rough places smooth.  You just have to trust Him and depend on Him.  Unfortunately, there are individuals that drive through life under the influence of bad things: bad substances, bad thoughts, and bad temperament.  Still, there are others that are just living reckless, out of control lives and they fail to yield to the directions given by God; stop when He says cease, and they keep weaving in and out of the lanes that we shall call “the right lane” and the “wrongful lane.”  The latter one is where the principles for living are ignored and there is a disregard for others who might be impacted by their recklessness.

I’m glad that you are not one of those individuals who cause wrecks!  I’m glad that you are one of the individuals who choose not to wreck up your life or anyone else’s life!  I’m glad you are constantly familiarizing yourself with Divine instructions found in the Scriptures!  I know none of us our perfect, but I’m glad that you stay God-conscious and pursue making perfect progress staying in your lane, “the right lane,” the lane that was paved by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  That makes you a good “driver.”  I’m glad you have been avoiding a multitude of wrecks in life caused by human error and instead you are depending on the teachings of the Lord!  Good job!  Keep it up!  Stay alert!  Continue to let the Lord have control of your “steering will.”  Have a great Tuesday, a wreck-free day!  Oh, and drive carefully too!  Be blessed!

“God’s Message yet again: “Go stand at the crossroads and look around. Ask for directions to the old road, The tried, and true road. Then take it.” (Jeremiah 6:16 MSG)

Still committed to the climb,
