“My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:27-28 NASB)
Did you ever play the game of where someone you were playing with held a coin, a marble, a pebble, or some other small object in their hand and you were challenged to try and snatch it from their palm? It was a game of reflexes, aided by the speed of motion, and the ability to distract the person holding the small object. Sometimes you were successful, and other times you were not. There might have even been times where you gave up. You were thinking, “No one could snatch that out of his/her hand.”
Here is your Saturday short meditation, some reassurance for the person who falls in the category of My Sheep. That’s you, isn’t it? Well, know that you are in a secure place. Know your salvation is secure. Just stay in the fold of the Good Shepherd, the One who laid down His life for His sheep. Listen to His voice and then, keep following Him when you hear His voice. Yes, you can hear His voice through the word! You can hear His voice as the Holy Spirit brings things to your remembrance! You can hear His voice tomorrow when you attend worship service too!
Fellowship with your brothers and sisters, if at all possible, fellowship face-to face, because you are to become one flock with one shepherd; the Good Shepherd.
Start your week off feeling secure and safe in the hands of our Savior. And as the weeks, months, and years go by, stay right there in His hand. No one can snatch you away. But be on guard about yielding to the temptation to thrust yourself out of His hand and join the sheep that are not of His fold. Enjoy worship tomorrow! Stay secure! Be blessed!
“I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.” (I John 5:13 NLT)
Still committed to the climb,
