WHAT’S STRONG WITH YOU?

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”(Isaiah 12:2 NIV)

There is not a typing error in the title.  I did not intend to use those words we have often heard, “What’s wrong with you,” in the context of when we have messed up in the eyes of someone who views themself as perfect, or when those words are used to chastise us when we make the minutest mistake, or when we spent money out of the sacred joint account without consulting with the other person.  I indeed meant to write “Strong” instead of “Wrong.” This is intended to be purely motivating and not punishing.

You see, I am referring to the area of life where you consistently do the right thing in the sight of the Lord.  What’s strong with you?  Continue to do exactly that my friend!  I’m referring to the gift that He blessed you with, one where even if it still needs perfecting, you persist in your commitment to press on, knowing that the Lord will perfect that very thing in you.  What’s strong with you?  Keep revealing and developing that strength!

If you were asked to make a list of the unquestionable ways that you show the Christ lives in you, and you obliged and placed something on the top of the list, that’s what I’m talking about.  What’s strong in you?  Renew showing how strong you are today, and every day you are blessed to see!  Are you one of those people who is consistently abiding by the three principles of the church, love, forgiveness, and quick reconciliation, well that’s what I’m referring to!  What’s strong in you?  Persevere person of faith!!

Perhaps you are strong in your prayer life, strong in praising the Lord from Whom all blessings flow, strong in your encouraging others, or strong in showing kindness and in considering others before yourself, great job!  Wonderful job!  Whatever you are strong in, keep letting that strength be, as they say in sports, your “go to move!”  And know this my friend, what’s strong in you will only get better if you depend on the Lord!  After all, somewhere I heard He would renew our strength!  Go forward on this Wednesday morning in strength!  Show what’s strong with you.  But there is a catch, a challenge: Strive to be strong in the area(s) that you need to do better!  Smile!  Be blessed!

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.  My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” (Psalm 28:7 NIV)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
