I don’t have to be creative; don’t have to relate any personal stories; don’t have to use any analogies on this Christmas morning. I just want you to make sure that you read this “Must Read” meditation with your household, prior to the gift opening, before the gatherings, preceding the grand food consumption, and before getting ready for a great day, from a secular celebration. As I emphasized to my congregation, you need to put the Messiah in the mix, especially if you want to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. So here is the “Must read!” You can read it in the context of the entire chapter two of Luke’s gospel so you can appreciate the basic message of Christmas. Go ahead and proceed! Be thankful! Feel the love of God! Rejoice! Be blessed!
“And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army of angels praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased.” (Luke 2:10-14 NASB)
Still committed to the climb,
