“But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.” (Proverbs 4:18-19 ESV)
Walking in the dark through the house in the night or the early morning of the new day, I have bumped my toes, knocked over lamps, utterly destroyed décor items, and have ended up in the wrong place, confused, lost my sense of direction, and consumed valuable time trying to head in the right direction. From experience, I know that It is no contest between walking in the dark and walking in the light. The latter, it’s just better.
It does not matter what day of the week it may be, walking in the light is just better. Stumbling in darkness cannot compete. Hiding in darkness as if the Lord cannot see what is going on is definitely not better and can cause one to reside in defeat. What am I getting at this morning? Let me tell you. Trying to find your way through life without the light of God’s word is never better! Walking in the light, again, it’s just better.
This Sunday morning, make sure you go to church virtually or in person and be exposed to the light of God’s word. You will find that when you choose to do so, as opposed to not going to worship, the former, well, it’s just better. Enjoy your service today and let the Lord lead you up a brighter path. Be blessed!
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105 KJV)
Still committed to the climb,
