“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (I Corinthians 15:57 NIV)
Teachers need to change their methods of teaching every once and awhile. On top of that, most people today have no qualms about the quantity of time they devote to searching for things on the internet. Add the fact that people love to be challenged.
In view of the three criteria above, this morning my selected “teaching” method or manner of waking up your God-consciousness is to use two victory songs, and provide you, at the same time, with a great excuse to get on the internet. Whether you will or not, that’s the challenge.
For the first song, look up the Crispus Attucks (Indianapolis, Indiana) “Crazy Song” written by Edwina Bell during that school’s domination of high school basketball. Yes, Hall of Famer and one of the Top 75 NBA Players, Oscar Robinson played on some of those teams. The “Crazy Song” was a victory song, assuring or announcing a win for the Tigers of Attucks before the game-ending buzzer was sounded.
For the second song, look up “Victory” by Yolanda Adams. In a timely way, during this Holy Week, you will be reminded of the victory that believers are assured of in Christ Jesus. Now if you did not attend Attucks, you might only listen to the “Crazy Song” one time. However, you will find yourself playing “Victory” more than once. I listened to it about ten times Wednesday morning after breakfast. Maybe you will find yourself doing the same as we move closer toward Resurrection Morning, dubbed by most as Easter. Have a musical, memorable, and magnificent Thursday as you are mesmerized by the second Victory Song. Be blessed!
“In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade.”(2 Corinthians 2:14a The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
