“THE ‘YES LORD’RESPONSE”

“Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise from the dead.”  Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, and He who comes into the world.” (John 11:23-27 NASB)

Today’s opening passage of Scripture IS rich with truth.  For instance, one could look at the fact that Jesus was saying, paraphrasing, “Right now I am the resurrection and the life.”  The passages is rich!  We could look at how the Lord’s word revises our way of looking at things.  Check it out and you will see that I am right.  All that is good, but what stood out to me was Martha’s response in this eleventh chapter of John where we focus  on Lazarus being resurrected from the dead by Jesus.  The Lord makes a statement of fact and Martha responds immediately and her response starts with two important words, “Yes Lord…”  I’m sure that the Lord loves our “Yes Lord” responses when He speaks to us through a sent messenger who relies on God’s word.

The Lord is not by Himself!  I love how people respond to His sent messages, almost immediately.  I even love how people respond to the meditations I send out.  I have published a couple of them in the past because sharing such responses to the sent message for the day immediately might help others benefit from, let me put it this way, their “Yes Lord” response.  So here are a couple of responses from some unnamed, regular readers.  After reading them, let the dialogue continue in your personal “Yes Lord” responses and your God-consciousness.  To be specific, know that these are responses to yesterday’s meditation entitled, “Unlimited.

First response: “I love having unlimited time with the Lord.  I’m thankful His awesomeness is not just available only while supplies last.   His awesomeness is indeed unlimited.  His reach is far beyond imagination and I’m so glad that Jesus lifted me.”

Second response: “Great way to start this morning that we have never seen before.  It’s a blessing to know that we are loved unlimited.  I’m going into this week knowing that all things are doable, and I have unlimited faith to keep pressing on.  ‘Always be thankful be joyful.  Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 5:16-18).’  With Christ’s unlimited strength, we will all have a great week!”

Didn’t you enjoy reading these two responses?  Well, continue the dialogue now!  Make it personal!  Meditate on His word and render a “Yes Lord” response!  Rejoice!  Amen?  Be blessed!

“And all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!”  (Nehemiah 8:6 NASB)

Still committed to the climb,
