“My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation.” (Psalm 62:5-6a NASB)
Impatient? Let’s let God do the talking this Sunday morning! Hear ye Him before you head to worship service!
Impatient? “Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14 Amplified Bible)
Impatient? “Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.” (Psalm 27:14 The Message Bible)
Impatient? “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14 NLT)
Impatient? Remember, “but…” (See the closing verse.)
(P.S. As a young minister, just starting out I was surprisingly asked to speak one evening. My first response was, “I did not bring a sermon.” The wise, head of the Deacon Board said, “The Bible is full of them.” I took his advice that night and this morning too! Have a wonderful Sunday! Be blessed!
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
Still committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
