YOUR MILLIONS OR BILLIONS

“You, Lord God, have done many wonderful things, and you have planned marvelous things for us.  No one is like you!  I would never be able to tell all you have done.” (Psalm 40:5 Contemporary English Version)

Do you remember the last day of the week being referred to as “Saturday Chore Day?”  No child in the house was allowed to play or go about their agenda until their chores were done and, might I add, passed the inspection of the parent.  I’m not a parent, but I have three Saturday Chores for you. 

The first Saturday Chore is math oriented.  Go to the calculator on your phone.  Take your age (years) and multiply that by 365 (days).  Take the number you arrive at and multiply if by 24 (hours).  Now, take that number and multiply it by 60 (minutes in each hour).  Your number has increased, but you are not done yet.  Take the new number you arrive at and multiply it by 60 (seconds).  While this number will change with every second you are alive, you probably ended up with a figure in the millions or the billions.  Need proof?  A person 43 years old would have arrive at 1,356,912,000.  And as soon as that person arrived at that number, it would already have increased.  It still increasing at this very moment!

The second Saturday Chore is for you to simply recognize the millions or billions of times that the Lord has blessed you!  And yes, this is reflected by the number you arrived after you labored through your first Saturday Chore.  And know that this will have to be increased exponentially because the Lord blesses you in more than one way in every year you are allowed to see, in every day you have life, and in every hour that comes and goes in your experiences, etc.  You are rich in blessings; millions and billions!  You get the picture, right?  So, you see the person was right on target in your church, that saint who included in their prayer, in the presence of the congregation, “I can’t praise Him enough for all the blessings He has bestowed on me!”  That person was right when she/he said, “If I had a thousand tongues, I could not praise Him enough for all He has done for me!”  After doing the math in the first Saturday Chore, I know you concur with the person I just referred to in the last two sentences.  This leads me to the third Saturday Chore.

The third Saturday Chore is to plan to attend worship service tomorrow, Sunday, and express your gratitude in praise in the house of God!  And if the congregation sings, “The Lord Is Blessing Me Right Now,” you will now have a new sense of appreciation and a fresh acknowledgement of the millions or billions of blessings the Lord has rained down on you!  Oh, you don’t have to wait until tomorrow!  You can praise Him right now!  Yet still don’t forget the assembly of the saints tomorrow.  The Lord has been too good to you to forget!  Be blessed!
