START THIS MORNING WITH A SONG

“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.” (Psalm 102:1 KJV)

Start this Sunday morning with a song, not just any song, but this particular song, “Jesus Will Work It Out!’  Tell Alexa to play that specific song, sang by the Georgia Mass Choir.  If you don’t have Alexa, look it up on the Internet.  The song is just a little over six minutes long, so it will not interfere with your regular routine of getting ready for worship this morning.  You can actually listen to it more than once before you leave.  At least by the second time, you will find yourself starting the morning singing along, singing a new song for this day!  For even if you are already familiar with the selection, it will be a new song for today.  For it will speak to you different than the last times you heard it.  It will speak to you in your right now situation.  It will have you turning things over to the Lord, as opposed to trying to handle whatever it is that you are facing all by yourself.  On your way to church, you will find yourself singing, “Jesus can work it out,” “Yes, He can!”  Then, when you enter His house, physically or virtually, you will be like the Psalmist in the closing verse.  Now go and command Alexa as I have instructed you.  Start this Sunday morning with a song and on all other mornings to come, as needed, refer back to the lyrics.  Have a glorious time in the Lord today!  Be blessed!

“On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into his presence.  Know this: God is God, and God, God. He made us; we didn’t make him.  We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.  Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise.  Thank Him!  Worship Him! (Psalm 100:1-4 The Message Bible)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
