“But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4 NLT)
It’s Monday again! So, it’s time for your favorite meditation, “The Monday Short!” If I were to do the research, Monday would probably come in first place as the favorite day to read what I send you daily. Why? “Too many words,” is the thought that runs through the minds of many, sounding like they are whining or crying, on other days when the number of words exceeds 500. Let’s look through a past prism. In your high school days, you would get daily reading assignments for each academic class; each assignment equaling least a chapter. Just for the record, so I can impact those readers who glance at the meditations they receive and judge whether or not to read it based on length, know that according to McZell Book Writing, “The average single-spaced manuscript typed in the 12-point font has roughly 500 words per page, however, this varies a lot depending on how you arrange it.” Just so you know, in these writing intended to wake-up your God-consciousness for the day, I use a 11-point font, single spaced. So, at the most, including the scriptural references, you just have to read what equals one page or a page and a half, and I contend that the Lord will put something on your heart as a result; something beneficial. Now, we are ready for the rest of the week! Read to look forward to being a recipient of these meditations, and ready to refuse to say, “Too many words!” Be blessed!
“God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won’t follow sinners or join in sneering at God. Instead, they find happiness in the teaching of the Lord, and they think about it day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2 CEV)
Still committed to the climb,
