“Boredom becomes an issue when it keeps you from completing necessary tasks or increasing your quality of life. If you have anxiety, you may be more prone to depression after experiencing long periods of boredom.” (WebMD Article, December 2020)
There is not a typing error in the title. I did not error; did not misspell “boar.” Know for sure that I was not intending to refer to the wild boar, weighing over 220 pounds, standing nearly four feet at its shoulders, and known to attack humans when they are provoked. The wild boar is dangerous, no doubt. But equally dangerous to us is “the bore.”
The quote above is enlightening about the dangerous times when we are attacked by “the bore;” those dull times where we get tired of doing the same thing, or when we cannot find, allegedly, anything to do. However, the quote was not enough, so I turned to the word of God to see if the Bible can help us when we are attacked by “the bore?” I turned to the verse below and decided that the best thing to do when you realize that you have been attacked by “the bore,” is to get busy, become active doing things that are pleasing to God, either in the confines of your home, the community, the church, or in your communion with God in the private place where you pray. Have a great day! Be blessed!
