“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” (Proverbs 13:15 KJV)
You know how we are when we hear something good! We tell everyone about it! Before we barely say, “Hi,” we are sharing what we heard. Just for the record, when it is not gossip it is good and okay to do so. It might even be great!
Yesterday morning I heard something that falls in the great category, a response to our Labor Day Meditation. It’s from a young adult reader of Mark Writes who I have known since childhood. It’s one of those things that you just cannot keep it to yourself. So let me share her words verbatim in the next two paragraphs.
“I love how Paul points to us accurately seeing what God is calling us to do and how a believers way of life is glorious. Often it seems the way can be miserable, taxing, and un-delightful, yet the word admonishes us much differently. This is why it behooves us to study to show ourselves.
God is a good, good, Father and his way is not hard. We’re told the way of a transgressor is hard (Proverbs13:15). To be given the desires our heart, we’re instructed to delight in the Lord (Psalm 37:4). For those who trust in him, his work in us is utterly extravagant, full of energy and boundless strength.”
Be motivated by the words above! May your work for the Lord be continued with zeal! As a matter of fact, we all need to rejoice in the response that I just could not keep to myself! It was worth sharing! Be blessed!
