“Stay on good terms with each other, held together by love.” (Hebrews 13:1 The Message Bible)
We have all been praying for those who have suffered through the recent strong storms that disrupted or interrupted the lives of so many people. Keep praying, and if possible, support those who are suffering from tremendous loss through a true relief organization or a specific family. God will bless you for your actions.
Thank God that several lives were spared because of advance information instructing the citizens of hard-hit areas in terms of what to do during the storms. May God bless the families that lost loved ones in the storms!
Now, focusing on your storms this Sunday morning, those storms of life that affect your living; storms of attacks on your Christian character; storms that include the troubling winds of adversity ignited by your enemies, Satan, the secular world, and self); storms that all people face when relationships take a detour from peace and tranquility to problems and troubles; storms of the economic nature where folks are forced to evaluate and evacuate certain spending habits and priorities; storms that occur because you has wandered, possibly, from the safety of the Good Shepherd, Jesus. A long sentence, but I’m trying to focus on your storms.
Read the Bible verse above and below more than once today. Read them before church, and after church. They will help your soul stay anchored and they will negate the negative destruction that the storms you may face try to destroy your joy. I’m counting on you! If you are not facing a storm right now, know that these verses from God’s profitable, profound word will be beneficial in the future. Be blessed!
“Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me? Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. For Jesus doesn’t change – yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally himself. Don’t be lured away from him by the latest speculations about him. The grace of Christ is the only good ground for life. Products named after Christ don’t seem to do much for those who buy them.” (Hebrews 13:5-9 The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
