WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

“Make me know Your ways, Lord; teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day.” (Psalm 25:4-5 NASB)

It’s Monday.  Where do we go from here?  This is a good question for many of us, right?  Where do we go from here spiritually?  Where do we go from here as it relates to setting examples for others who will succeed us and look at our faith walk?  Where do we go from here physically?  Where do we go from here financially?  Where do we go from here when we have received bad news and just the opposite as well, when we have been blessed abundantly?

I imagine Joshua would answer, “Keep moving up and possess what the Lord has promised you.”  I imagine the Apostle Paul would answer, “Press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus?”  Isaiah would pull out his notes and respond to the question by saying, “But now, God’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.  I’ve called your name.  You’re mine.  When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.  When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.  When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.”

The writer in Proverbs, in responding to the question posed above would only have to start these familiar verses and you would finish it from memory, “Trust in the Lord and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.  Do not be wise in your own eyes.”

Keep the counsel above, offered in this Monday Short meditation on your mind and in your heart as you journey through this week.  Expect the Lord to so something new in your life in the days ahead!  Be blessed!

I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses, to lie beneath the waves, dead, their lives snuffed out like candlewicks.  But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I’m going to do!  For I’m going to do a brand-new thing.  See, I have already begun!  Don’t you see it?  I will make a road through the wilderness of the world for my people to go home and create rivers for them in the desert!” (Isaiah 43:17-19 The Living Bible)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
