“But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in gleaming clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why are you seeking the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead.” And they remembered His words, and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.” (Luke 24:1-9 NASB)
The Sunday news is in the opening passage! There is no need to be repetitive. Bottom line: We serve a risen Savior. However, not all have come to a saving faith in the Christ; not all have come to the position where they are on the positive side of the wages of death is sin, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. So, I will simply make those who have hesitated to recognize Christ as their Savior aware of the awesome truth in the verses below. You can help me by passing this on to some lost souls. Enjoy service this morning! Be blessed!
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13 NASB)
