I don’t have a story, special observation, or a smart analogy to start today’s Saturday meditation. I am going to simply give you a verse to keep in mind as you start the weekend. I’ll give you a story tomorrow Sunday. Today, however, I am just going to give you a verse to think on as your start your day. Read it! Reflect on it! Oh, one more thing, know that the list that you are about to read is certain, but not a complete or exhaustive list of what the Lord hates. There is more! Anything outside the will of God, can be added to this list! Now read, reflect, and regard the Lord’s as really significant. Be moved to be the best representative of the kingdom of God as you can. Be blessed!
“Here are six things God hates, and one more that he loathes with a passion: eyes that are arrogant, a tongue that lies, hands that murder the innocent, a heart that hatches evil plots, feet that race down a wicked track, a mouth that lies under oath, a troublemaker in the family.” (Proverbs 6:16-19 The Message Bible)
P.S.
This just came to mind. Why not help everyone in your house be God-conscious and cognizant of the above. Place this meditation somewhere in the house where it will catch others’ attention. Maybe, to make sure it is read by all, put a note on the top of the page that says, “DO NOT READ!” Smile! Monday, realizing we must do the work of Him who sent us, take it to work and leave it on your desk or work area, face up, with the same message. You can really smile now! Again, be blessed!
Still committed to the climb,
Mark L. King
