“Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.” (I Timothy 4:1 NLT)
This is your Monday Short meditation. It is just a reminder for you to watch out for any deceitfulness that tries to derail you from your declared faith and the dedicated works produced by you faith. Of course, we have to be on guard against the Great Deceiver, the devil, but consider today’s opening and closing verses, signaling that we have to beware of many sources of deceitfulness, sources that will try to trap us, trick us, and turn us away from the true direction we should be traveling, the upward way. Read! Reflect! Respond! Really have a good start to your week. Be blessed!
“Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 The Message Bible)
Still committed to the climb,
