WHY I’M SO SURE YOU CAN MAKE IT

“Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.” (Psalm 125:2 NLT)

One of my favorite songs is “You Can Make It.”  The lyrics include these words: “You can make it.  You can make it.  These trials that you’re going through, God’s going to show you what to do.”  That’s good to know, right?  But listen to some other lyrics from the song: “I don’t care what’s going on, God won’t let it last too long.  You’re not in this thing alone, you can make it.”  That’s good too!  As a matter of fact, that’s good news!

Aside from the lyrics of one of my favorite songs, the verse above affirms that God’s got you.  This explains why I like the song and why I’m sure, no matter what you are facing in life short-term or long term; I’m so sure that you can make.  Listen!  Keep trusting in the Lord!  Look!  Look to the hills from whence commeth your help!  Lean back! Lighten up! God’s got you!

I’m so sure you can make it, because for believers, the Lord will protect us from evil, and He will keep our souls.  It does not matter your season of life.  It does not matter the seriousness of your situation is.  It does not matter if there is a seemingly immovable obstacle in your way.  There is no season of life that God can’t take you through.  There is no situation where the Lord cannot stand you up so your strength becomes anew, and you are able to arises to new heights.  As far as that seemingly immovable obstacle goes, the trouble it brings can be overcome.  Hear God say to you this Thursday morning, “I got this!”

Now reinforce your help!  Revive your hope!  Raise your faith to a new level, rally up your spirit, and relax!  Say it for yourself, “I’m so sure I can make it!”  If you need to add some words say, “The Lord is on my side!”  Yes, He is!  Have a victorious day.  Be blessed!

“The Lord will protect you as you come and go, both now and forever!” (Psalm 121:1 The Easy-to-Read Version)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
