WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH…

At times, the going gets tough in this life. Perhaps you are even going through a tough time right now. My counsel, which comes from the Lord, is really quite brief this morning, just a few verses for you to reflect on, retain for future use, and thus result in you being equipped with reliable resources to fall back on when the going gets tough. Read on for all the remaining content of this meditation will regulate your mind when times get tough. Ready yourself this morning so in spite of what you are facing or will face, you can hang on in there Rely, going forward, on the most dependable source available to you.

“I will raise my eyes to the mountains; from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2 NASB).”  (God’s word is really our most dependable source to turn to when the going gets tough.)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. “For I am the Lord your God…(Isaiah 43:2-3a The Amplified Bible).”(God’s word is really our most dependable source to turn to when the going gets tough.)

Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death? As the scripture says, ‘For your sake we are in danger of death at all times; we are treated like sheep that are going to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-39 The Good News Translation).”(God’s word is really our most dependable source to turn to when the going gets tough.)

I told you no elongated, entertaining yet educational story today. I earnestly avoided analogies, and instead I engaged entirely in presenting you with some encouraging words from the Lord to help you when the going gets tough. God’s word is really our most dependable source to turn to when the going gets tough.) However, please permit me to close with the quote below, a quotation from the American West, published in 1946, included in an article in the California Folklore Quarterly.  Be blessed!
