“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)
In addition to the words of wisdom included in the opening and closing verses, let me present you with two sayings to act on this year. If you act on them, somebody will be saved from the penalty of sin, and others will be saved from the power of sin. And of course, you, one who is in the hands of the Lord, will be blessed. And more importantly, the Lord will be blessed by your actions. Here are the sayings that I wrote a couple of days ago. They did not originate in anyone else’s mind, other than my own, to my knowledge. I deemed that they were beneficial for every believer, therefore I am sharing them with you.
“It is he who has failed that has gained wisdom regarding succeeding along the Christian walk, so share your testimony with others, often, at every opportunity.”
“It is at that time, the time when you see someone worst off than you that you cease to complain, cancel your personal concerns, and completely change your focus and began committing yourself to praying for others’ circumstances, and communicating gratitude to our gracious God for every blessing.” In regard to the latter saying, a lengthy sentence, recall these words, often sang by serious, resonating voices, in and out of the sanctuary: “I’ve had some good days. I’ve had some hills to climb. I’ve had some weary days and some sleepless nights. But when I look around and I think things over, all of my good days outweigh my bad days. I won’t complain.” Be blessed!
“The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity].” (Provers 11:30 The Amplified Bible)
Committed to the climb,
