LET’S DO THIS!

“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.” (Psalm 96.1 KJV)

The saying on the packet of Splenda spoke to me this morning.  As I set it by the cup while I prepared my much needed coffee, my eyes kept looking back at the packet that had the words above embossed on it, “Let’s do this!”  Now it did not define “This,” but I took it to mean worship the Lord today in the beauty of holiness.  I took it as a reminder to heed to the words of the Psalmist as expressed in his words in the next paragraph.

“O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.  Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously  Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof (Psalm 96: 9-11 KJV).”

Now if you did not get to read this on this blessed Sunday morning, before heading out to church or tuning in to some true teaching and preaching of the word via a virtual worship, you can still apply it!  It is always an appropriate time to worship the Lord!  The message is still directed to you, regardless of the time of day: “Let’s do this!”  Isn’t God good?  Be blessed!

“Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.” (Isaiah 12:5 KJV)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
