REMINDER FROM REGINA

“Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)”

Regina is a member of one of our three Victory Classes (Bible Study) at our church. I may have informed you about this before, but today is a perfect day to remind you about the refrigerator magnets that she made for the members of the class that she attends. It came about this way. I had suggested that someone should make a magnet that included some of the challenges we were given in class where we started focusing on holiness. Regina did not just think it was a good idea, or comedy release or a humorous relief remark mark. No, Regina went into action and transformed the suggestion into a reality.  Yes, she did it!

Now, I am not one to put a plethora of pictures, papers, pleasant reminders or a perpetual store list, on the refrigerator, but I made an exception for the perfect magnetic message that Regina made for us. Here is the reminder from Regina.  Perhaps it will be beneficial for you this Saturday morning, the day before you, a holy people, assemble together for worship.

HOW TO STRIVE TO BE MORE HOLY

Make holiness your purpose.

Don’t resist the Holy Spirit.

Commit to obedience.

Pursue Jesus and study His word.

Expect improvement not perfection.

Remember, God is love.

After reading “Regina’s Reminder,” I don’t know how you could possibly consider not going to church tomorrow.  Be blessed!

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Romans 12:1-2 The Message Bible)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
