“The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.” (Psalm 118:24 NIV)
It’s Sunday morning! Many of you work out to some degree when you get up in the morning. You jog! You get on the treadmill or some more modern, emotionalized strengthening equipment! You do sit-ups and even use weights or stretch bands. Some of you even have an at home gym. Others go to the gym for their workout. I know that for a fact because I will see more cars at the two gym facilities that I pass on the way to worship than I do at the church parking lot!
Well, whether you work out early at home or you go to the gym, in time to make it, punctual in showing up for service at your church, here are some Sunday morning calisthenics you should do! Don’t take my word for it, the routine comes from the Scriptures. One note before you verify or validate what I just said, calisthenics do not require anything other than your own body, no equipment is necessary, but they boost your strength. Now, are you ready to be strengthened? Here’s what you do!
- Shout praises to the Lord, everyone on this earth!
- Be joyful and sing as you come in to worship the Lord!
- Be thankful and praise the Lord as you enter his temple!
- Do all the above by getting your mind right by acknowledging that The Lord is good! His love and faithfulness will last forever!
Take a breather and hear the word of God! You are ready to receive His specific message, sent by means of a special messenger for a specific purpose; a purpose targeted specifically at you! Have a super Sunday! By the way, if the calisthenics do not get you in better shape, and the word does not sink it immediately, let the Person below help you, trusting in Him as the words of the songwriter state. Be blessed!
“Jesus will work it out!”
