HOW TO TURN THE WORLD RIGHT-SIDE UP

Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” (Acts 17:1-6 NKJV)

This is your Monday Short meditation. The passages above and below are longer that what I shall write.  I simply want to challenge you to “go ye there too:” go to persons who have not come to Christ, go to the table in your cafeteria at your workplace and engage in personal evangelism in a non-confrontational way, go to your family members who are in the decreasing population of born-again teenage and young adult Christians, go ye therefore, just as the Lord has stated. Use old or new approaches, but please go.  Employ talking to others and even engage others via today’s technology. In any case, be part of “these” who can turn the word right-side up! My wording is different because the wrong people are speaking of something from the wrong perspective in the verse above. As one of my sons used to say on his radio show, “Let’s get to it!” Have a magnificent Monday!  Be blessed!

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 The Message Bible)

Committed to the climb,
