SIGNS ON RIGHTEOUS ROAD

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!” (Psalm 118:24 NIV)

On your way to worship today, make sure you obey the signs on the road: “Stop,” “No Turn on Red,” “No U-Turn,” “Road Closed,” “Speed Limit,” and “Merge.” If you see one of the electronic signs that lets you know you are driving over the speed limit, and the neon light tells you, “Slowdown,” obey it too!

On your way to a wonderful, blessed, happy, new week, as you walk on the narrow road of righteousness, the “Righteous Road,” comply with the signs found in the text above: (1) Keep Walking away from the counsel of the wicked. (2) Move On, not standing in the path of sinners, and (3) No Sitting in the seat of scoffers. The wicked, the sinners, and the scoffers have one thing in common, they are diametrically different from you, a person with a distinct and devoted faith in the Lord. What is the commonality of the three signs to watch on “Righteous Road?” They do not love and serve our God.

Follow the signs on the “Righteous Road,” and take it a step further. Or, should I say, “Take it a verse further?” See below and you decide. Have a great start to a new week!  Be blessed!

“Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], nor stand in the path of sinners,
nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2 The Amplified Bible)
