CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT!

“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5 Modern English Version

What I am about to share with you has to be assigned a title by you, and not this author. I would perhaps call it “Determination,” “Dedication,” “Devotion,” or “Disciple’s Decision,” but you call it what you call it what you want!

A man in one of our three Bible Study classes (Just saying “a man” these days says a lot!); a man in one or our Bible Study classes has a job that requires him to travel and often he cannot control his schedule. Is this a true story? Of course! Keep reading!

Sometimes, on the job, when it is possible, he faithfully reads the morning meditations. His response, at times is not silent, and it causes his co-workers to ask what he is reading. Light enters the workplace! If I ever want to publish a collection of what I have written every day in Mark Writes, now in my eighth year of doing so, this man I am referring to, he has them all. Call it what you want!

Last week, taking the 50-mile drive home from the site where he parks his car to go off on his assignment for the day, he realized that he was not going to make it home in time for Bible Study. So, what does he do? He pulls into a truck stop and listens in to the class on his smartphone. Call it what you want!

Listen! Whatever positive title you gave to this meditation, whatever you decided to call it, know that the universal church and your local church needs more of it. What will be the positive title for your response to what you just read? Have a wonderful Wednesday!  Be blessed!

“Jesus answered, “The Scriptures say: ‘No one can live only on food.
People need every word that God has spoken.’” (Matthew 4:4 Contemporary English Version)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
