SQUEEZE IT!

“It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:23-24 The Amplified Bible)

Here is the meditation that I promised you for today, seeing how I fell short of giving you your expected Monday Short yesterday. So here it is, concise and compressed in a few words, yet it contains a critical, instructional message.

As I got my must have coffee yesterday, I noticed that the sugar substitute packets in the new box I purchased had some new sayings on them. You probably have some old meditations that were inspired by older yellow packets. Nevertheless, the first packet that I picked out pointed to Splenda celebrating its 25th anniversary. This new product took the country by storm, per the company’s timeline found on their website, when they introduced this sugar reduction product in 1999.

I was excited about the new packets! I emptied the whole two hundred pack box to read the new motivating phrases. If you are asking, “Don’t you have anything better to do with your time?” let me answer you, “I’m doing it right now.” You will see! One packet stood out, obviously intended for me to make use of it, other than to put it in my “No Coffee, No Talkee Cup.”  The brief message printed on it said, “Squeeze The Day.” So out of the billions of packets sold over 25 years, this one was definitely intended for you and me on this Tuesday morning.

Squeeze The Day!”  In other words, let us embrace this day by responding as instructed, adding a God perspective to the admonition on the sweetener packet. I’m serious now! “Squeeze The Day,” no matter what you are going through! Squeeze it with rejoicing and squeeze it with gladness, realizing that for God has allowed you to see another day. Benefit from his lovingkindness and his tender compassion today! “Squeeze The Day,” Make the best of it! Be blessed!

“This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 The Modern English Version)

Committed to the climb,
