“My cup overflows with blessings.” (Psalm 23:5B NLT)
I’m sending out this Sunday meditation extra, extra early, before Saturday evening comes. I’m sending it early hoping to give you enough time to not only put a certain action on your Sunday TTD (Things To Do) list, but to also ensure you have ample time to prepare to bless someone unexpectedly at your church when you attend worship tomorrow. How are you going to do it? I’m not sure. That’s entirely up to you. It might range from something as simple as giving an encouraging card, to actually someone pulling that never worn and still in style clothing item you have in your closet, or perhaps some barely used tennis shoes or dress shoes and presenting them to somebody without fanfare or even a desire to be noticed. Fanfare is not your focus, and it is far removed from your motive. Your heavenly Father will see you.
You are just like the shepherd in the twenty-third Psalm. Your cup of blessing is overflowing with blessings. Therefore, don’t keep them to yourself. God blessed you abundantly, so you can bless somebody else with the excess of the blessings you have received. It is true for all of us, “My cup overflows with blessings.”
Put this on your TTD list! I’m counting on you, especially realizing that the Lord has done so much for you. You can do something for others. All of us can! So, bless somebody on this Sunday. Thank God in advance for your response. Be blessed!
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” (Proverbs 11:25 English Standard Version)
