CATCH SOMEONE DOING RIGHT THIS MORNING!

Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” (Ruth 2:11-12 NIV)

In a world where many people who are in charge focus on finding others doing something wrong, we need to focus on seeing things that people are doing right. Let our eyes not always look to criticize but let them look to see something on which to compliment. The results of adhering to this advice will have a positive result on your relationship with others and the other person will have their self-esteem and self-worth boosted. And, in regard to the one being complimented, more than likely they will repeat doing good things because of the reinforcement you gave by catching someone doing right.

Boaz did it!  Jesus did it!  You can do it!  As a matter of fact, do it this morning in the assembly of the saints! Look for it! Let the compliment come out! Learn to not cancel out what your compliment with a conjunction, such as “but,” because that will cancel out your compliment!

That’s all I have for you this Sunday morning! Head out to church! Go, bless somebody and…be blessed!

“When he finished speaking to the people, he entered Capernaum. A Roman captain there had a servant who was on his deathbed. He prized him highly and didn’t want to lose him. When he heard Jesus was back, he sent leaders from the Jewish community asking him to come and heal his servant. They came to Jesus and urged him to do it, saying, “He deserves this. He loves our people. He even built our meeting place.” Jesus went with them. When he was still quite far from the house, the captain sent friends to tell him, “Master, you don’t have to go to all this trouble. I’m not that good a person, you know. I’d be embarrassed for you to come to my house, even embarrassed to come to you in person. Just give the order and my servant will get well. I’m a man under orders; I also give orders. I tell one soldier, ‘Go,’ and he goes; another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” Taken aback, Jesus addressed the accompanying crowd: “I’ve yet to come across this kind of simple trust anywhere in Israel, the very people who are supposed to know about God and how he works.”  When the messengers got back home, they found the servant up and well.
