“O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good…” (Psalm 107.1a King James Version)
Trust me! You will come to “The Corner of Come What May” this week. It may intersect with the good experiences or the recognition of the good things that the Lord has showered on you in past days; all the blessing that brought you delight. On the other end of the continuum, “The Corner Of Come What May,” may intersect with an avenue named “Trials,” a street named “Tests,” a boulevard named “Trouble,” or a wide-lane thoroughfare name “Trying Times.” There are a lot of byways where your life will intersect with “The Corner of Come What May.” Look, I know this is your Monday short meditation, but can I name a few more roads? Thank you! There are the opposing passageways of good happenings and bad happenings, joyful days and saddened days, ups and downs, the memory of youthful days and the reality of aging days, bold days and barley hanging on by a thread days, and then, there are the roads of have and have not.
By this time, you ought to be nodding your head in agreement, concurring with the fact that you and I will come to “The Corner of Come What May.” So, let me tell you how to respond, once you recognize you are at that corner. Do as the verse below says! If you are facing something that is a challenge, doing what the verse says will light up your face in the midst of your challenge. For you will start to recognize that you have much to be thankful for, regardless of what’s happening. If you are experiencing a time where your soul is uplifted, your triumphs are great, and your status of exist only by the grace and goodness the Lord, keep thanking God!
May you be blessed this Monday morning, and even more so after you have expressed your gratitude to the Lord for all He has done, is doing, and shall do in your life. Be blessed!
“Whatever happens, keep thanking God because of Jesus Christ. This is what God wants you to do.” (I Thessalonians 5:18 Contemporary English Version)
