GRACE UPON GRACE

For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].” (John 1:15 The Amplified Bible)

When you enter the sanctuary this Sunday morning and after you find your favorite seat in the sanctuary, sit silently, bow your head, and thank the Lord for grace upon grace; grace that is piled on top of grace in the experience of Christians. More specifically, thank the Lord for the grace you have received during the past week.

If you get this before it is time to head out to church, and you were perhaps planning to stay at home, take an immediate and important timeout, stop what you are doing, and sincerely think about God’s grace. Being grateful for His grace should modify your plans and move you to making you way to the local church you attend. If you are out of town, don’t let that stop you from being in the assembly of the saints. Wherever you are I’m positive that you can find a bible teaching, bible preaching, and bible believing place of worship. If “place of worship” is an expression that lacks clarity or if it is not a clear enough expression for your ears, let me say it in this way! Make your way to church! Did you hear me? Even if you are camping in a serene place, surrounding by trees, look to the sky and after being amazed by the beauty of God’s creation, make your campsite a place where you can worship the Lord in the beaty of holiness. Yes, have some church in the woods, with family for if alone, all by yourself. Just keep pondering on how the Lord has bless you with grace upon grace, Be blessed!

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.” (Titus 2:11-12 NASB)
