“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (Matthew 6:34 MSG)
Let’s commit to focusing on today; not yesterday or tomorrow. A young lady taught our church choir a song that included the words, “With God I can get through this.” I woke up with those words on my mind and the Lord led me to the verse above. I opted to use the paraphrase version this morning.
Whatever “this” is in your life at this particular moment in your personal history, on this day, November 25, 2020, go forward in faith and fling your worries aside! Trust God to help you handle your “this” that may be agitating your, aggravating you, advancing and attacking your peace of mind, or awakening some unnecessary concerns about what the future may hold. God’s got you! You know He holds the future and you know He will help you deal with whatever “this” that tries to trip you up, trick you into a depressive state, or turn off your light of hope, leaving you in a state of simulated darkness. I say “stimulated because you are a child of the light. If you have doubts demanding you attention, dismiss them and distinctly remember all things are possible with God and don’t forget you have been called for a purpose, so everything will work out for good. You can’t see how “this” can be conquered? Let me remind you that we walk by faith and not by sight! Tell your personal “this,” whatever “this” is, that with the Lord, even if storms come, you can have peace in the midst of the storm. Make that smile a little bigger now! I kept my words short today because I want you to read the whole passage below. God’s word is profitable! Be blessed!
