“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us too!” (Quote by Voltaire)
This is your Monday Short meditation! Hopefully it will help somebody who cannot see their blessings on Christmas morning when they don’t get the gift they wanted, get a gift card which is unappreciated, get a self-made gift, or possibly just get a “I’m praying for you” comment in a Christmas day phone call! And if someone in your house does like my third oldest son did when he was a young teen without a job, and they find something in their closet and wrap it in newspaper and present to you as a gift, you should be very thankful! See your blessings my friend! See to it that you demonstrate externally and feel it internally, showing that the thought really does count.
By the way, what greater thoughtfulness should we appreciate on Christmas morning, than the thoughtfulness God had for you and me. He sent His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes Him shall have everlasting life! Read the closing verse and meditate on God’s thoughtfulness as it has been continually revealed by the things He has done for you! Be blessed!
“Many, Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; there is no one to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count.” (Psalm 40:5 New American Standard Bible)
