“But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while [by taking on the limitations of humanity], crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering of death, so that by the grace of God [extended to sinners] He might experience death for [the sins of] everyone.” (Hebrews 2:9 The Amplified Bible)
Whether you pronounce “present” as pres-ent, meaning to be somewhere or pre-sent, referring to one who will give something, or still yet you say pre-sent as referring to what one receives on a special day like today, Christmas Day, all three are accurate when it comes to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jesus was present at the creation and is not a created being. He came as Emmanuel, God in the flesh, dwelt among us but continue to have parity and equality with God the Father. He is present at the right hand of God, interceding for us night and day. He is present every day by means of His Spirit. Yes, He walks with us and talks with us all along the way. He is always present, available, and as we say, “Call Him up and tell Him what you want.” Thank you, God, for the present available Person, our Savior, this morning!
Also, Jesus is the One who took on flesh and dwelt among us, lived a perfect life, qualifying Himself as the perfect, unblemished Lamb of God, died on the cross to pay the price for our sins, He is the One who is the present with all who will accept, believing in Him and gaining by faith through grace eternal life. Thank you, God, for the present to the world, our Savior, this morning!
Finally, still speaking of the present, Jesus is who we received, given by the father. Thank you, God, for the present, our Savior, this morning! Be blessed!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (Johnn 3:16 NASB)
