“All together now—applause for God! Sing songs to the tune of His glory,
set glory to the rhythms of His praise. Say of God, “We’ve never seen anything like him!”
When your enemies see you in action, they slink off like scolded dogs. The whole earth falls to its knees—it worships you, sings to you…” (Psalm 66:1-4 The Message Bible)
When your physician provides you with a prescription to improve or sustain your physical health, you typically follow the doctor’s orders and take the prescription. Depending on your insurance and the type of medicine prescribed, it is going to cost you. This Saturday morning, I want to give you a different type of prescription, a spiritual prescription, and there is no charge! Keep reading and learn more!
In the verse above, the Psalmist gives us a prescription that should be taken seriously, not if, but when you enter the house of the Lord tomorrow. All of us have reason to applaud God for what He has done! So, let’s do it! All of us, rather we belong to the church choir or not, should give praise to the glory of His name! All of us should be moved tomorrow for we have never seen anything like Him! You know that is true! Listen and answer these questions. Who has loved you, like Him? Who has given you chance after chance, like the Lord? Who has delivered you like the Sovereign One above? Is there any person alive who cannot name without much thought the things that the Lord has done for them? All of us – can! Who has not had their enemies defeated on more than one occasion? Who should humble ourselves, look to the One who sits high and looks low? Who is called on to worship Him tomorrow? Who should be in the special presence of the Lord at a place of worship tomorrow? Again, I repeat, “All of Us!” And guess what? “All” includes YOU!
Now, my friend, don’t lift up you voice to gain the attention of others in the sanctuary! Lift up your voice to the Lord, in the sanctuary! Don’t say things just for attention or to be noticed but say to God, “You have been good!” Say to Him, “You have done great things for me!” Say to the Almighty, “How awesome Lord, are Thy works!” Say to Him, “Thank you, Lord!”
Have a wonderful worship experience Sunday! Give God the glory that He is due for keeping His eye on you, for bringing you through this and that, and for all that He shall do – for YOU! Be blessed!
“For the Lord Most High is to be feared [and worshiped with awe-inspired reverence and obedience]; He is a great King over all the earth.” (Psalm 47:2The Amplified Bible)
