“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 1:4 NKJV)
I will wait on the Lord and be of good courage in this life. I know I am not yet what I should be, and neither am I what I used to be, but I will wait until my change comes. I will wait for God’s counsel, continue to wait expectantly for the Lord to answer my prayers, and confidently wait for His direction when I need to make minor and major decisions. I will wait for the Helper to aid me in discerning what’s the next thing that God will have me do for the building up of His kingdom. You see, I know He is not done with me yet.
Listen to me! I can do some waiting! When necessary, I can wait until joy comes in the morning, primarily because my experience with God has taught me that joy will inevitably come. Are you listening? I can wait with anticipation and not anxiety for the time where there will be no more troubles, nor more tears, no more discouragement, no more death, no more dying, no more sorrow and no more crying. My life is in God’s hands! Like I said, “I can do some waiting.”
But there are some exceptions, my friend. There are some things that I can speak to and say, “I’m not waiting!’ No, sir! No, ma’am! I’m not going to wait until I get to be in the presence of God in glory to worship Him! I’m going to wait, rather I am going to be in His special presence today in the sanctuary! Yes! I’m going to worship Him today, entering His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise! Did you get that last implication? Well, in case you did not, let me make it plain. I’m not waiting to praise Him in the future! I’m not waiting until some glad morning when this life is over and I will fly away to God’s celestial shores, to praise Him! I’m not even waiting in this life, until everything is great in my opinion! I’m going to praise Him today! He is worthy of all our praise! Therefore, I’m not waiting! What about you? Be blessed!
“Bravo, God, Bravo! Everyone join in the great shout: Encore! In awe before the beauty, in awe before the might. Bring gifts and celebrate. Bow before the beauty of God, then to your knees—everyone worship! Get out the message—God Rules! He put the world on a firm foundation; He treats everyone fair and square. Let’s hear it from Sky,
With Earth joining in, and a huge round of applause from Sea. Let Wilderness turn cartwheels, animals, come dance, put every tree of the forest in the choir—an extravaganza before God as He comes, as He comes to set everything right on earth, set everything right, treat everyone fair.” (Psalm 96:1-13 The Message Bible)
