A JUNE SHARE

“Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.” (Proverbs 19:20 NLT)

Good morning! This is your Monday Short meditation, posted for you edification on this day, June 16, 2025. I’ll call it a “June Share,” not because of the month, but because of the first name of the person who shared a quote from a leadership seminar is named June. As we were studying Mark 13 last week, we noted how many times Jesus gave His disciples warnings to be on the alert. FYI: These warnings took place on the Tuesday before Jesus went to the cross for you and me; to pay for the price of our sins. Jesus wanted His disciples to be prepared. He was still developing them. If you read the chapter, verses 1-37, you will note that Jesus warned His disciples five times. You may think this is an example of redundancy, but if you have been following the meditations, you learned that repetition is good.

“June’s Share” consisted of some wise words spoken by Dr. Celia Young, Pepperdine University. My advice is that you take this shared wisdom serious. The quote: “Don’t go through life sleepwalking.”

Now, if that did not wake you up spiritually on your Christian journey, or if it did resonate within your heart immediately, consider June’s addendum to “June’s Share:” “Be vigilant. Live purposefully. Do all things with a God-centered intention.”

Have a great week my friends! Stay God-conscious and Christ centered. Be blessed.

“The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” (Proverbs 18:15 New King James Version)

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
