THE LORD WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU TOO!

“Then they came to the place of which God had told him; and Abraham built the altar there and arranged the wood and bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. And Abraham reached out with his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Do not reach out your hand against the boy, and do not do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by its horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering in the place of his son. And Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide, as it is said to this day, “On the mountain of the Lord it will [e]be provided.” Genesis 22: 9-14 NASB)

Child of God, I want you to know that just as God provided for Abraham, He indeed provided for you already, in the ultimate sense, by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus, to take our place on the cross to atone for our sins. Jesus is our ram in the bush. I’m sure you have heard that before, right?

Let’s go a little further this Saturday morning. Let me remind you that God still will provide for you in the midst of whatever you are going through. He us still Jehovah-Jireh, meaning, “The Lord will provide.” Let me give you some examples.

God will provide for you when you are disturbed or disappointed; give you peace beyond comprehension! God will provide you with food, clothing, and shelter. Just seek ye first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness! God will provide a means of relief when your cares are too much for you to bear alone. This is what you do: Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you! As the title above said, “God will provide for you too”!

God will provide when you have lost your way if you turn to Him for direction. Just remember you are one of His sheep and let Him be your Shepherd! God will provide you with protection, all night and all day. I say that because the word assures me that He will guard your going out, and your coming in! The Lord is your keeper! Be of good cheer, my friend! “God will provide for you too!”

God will provide a clear view as you walk confidently, clinging to His unchanging hand, believing in His words. You see, somewhere I read in the scriptures that His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path! God will provide assurance, if you just listen to the Holy Spirit remind you that He is a Promise-Keeper. “God will provide for you too!”

If you are in need of company, God will provide that too! Commune with Him. He is near. He will provide you with company all the times: morning, noonday, or night. You see, child of God, He will never leave you or forsake you!  The song says, “Be not dismayed whatever betide, God will take care of you!

Now, if I did not mention specifically what you need God to provide, stop right now and go to Him in prayer. Listen! He does answer our prayers too! And not only pray, my friend, but have the faith of Abraham, knowing that the Lord will provide and He will do it right on time. “God will provide for you too!”

Have a great Saturday! Remember worship service tomorrow! Be in the presence of the saints and the special presence of the Lord. Be blessed!

Committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
