HOW TO HAVE A BETTER DAY!

“Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” (William Penn 1644 -1718)

I looked at various sources to see how we use the time that we are blessed with daily. If a person works, the average time spent is 8 hours. A person spends nearly 4 hours a day watching TV. The average time spent on social media is approximately 2.5 hours. Time spent eating, not including cooking and clean-up duties, averaged 1 hour and 25 minutes. Of course, I am sure that figure did not include all the various things people do during lunch breaks, work breaks, coffee breaks, and discussing breaking news at the family dinner table.

Just looking at the total time above, excluding other ways we spend our time, we can see that this adds up to a lot of time.  Now, I wonder if how we spend our time, according to the numbers above helps us have a good day, from a godly perspective.

Whether the averages above are different for you personally, stop and consider how you spend your time daily. You will be surprised. But relax if it your numbers are similar or greater than what is reported in the first paragraph. Yes, relay, because I have some good news for you! If you want to have a better day, spend more time daily in God’s word.

I really don’t need to say anything else, right? However, let me add a few more words. Truthfully, all believers can spend more time in God’s word, beyond reading meditations, attending church on Sunday and being attentive to the preached word, and being a Bible Study regularly. Do you want to know how to have a better day? Well, I just told you! But let me back it up with some familiar Scriptures. Have a better day! Be blessed!

“Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But avoid profane foolish babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.” (2 Timothy 2:15-16 Modern English Version)
