Someone asked me the other day, “Is anybody exempt from what your T-Shirt says?” That person was referring to the T-Shirt I have that says, “Be careful what you say or do, I just might write about it.” My quick reply was, “No one!’
After I walked away, thinking about the challenge that churches face today to grow their congregations, I thought about my response for a minute. In my mind, I came to the realization, seeing how my job in the ministry it to preach the word, I have no choice but to publish what the Lord Jesus says! Therefore, I guess that my answer was correct after all.
So, today, I have been moved to tell you what Jesus said. Perhaps, hopefully, it will help motivate you to be steadfast and immovable in your continuous efforts to grow God’s kingdom, and as an added benefit grow our local churches. The T-Shirt is still applicable! Listen to the words of the Lord, expressed in one of His parables.
“Now He began teaching them again about the Kingdom of God: ‘What is the Kingdom like?’ He asked. ‘How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed planted in a garden; soon it grows into a tall bush and the birds live among its branches. It is like yeast kneaded into dough, which works unseen until it has risen high and light.’” (Luke 13:18-21 The Living Bible)
My friend, I guess no one from the T-Shirt. And guess what? Here is an addendum: No believer, no Christian, no one who has been born again, no one who is one of His disciples is exempt from Jesus words below either. Read them! Register them in your heart! React to them! Reach somebody to help grow the kingdom. The Lord can still take small means and bring about great results. That’s a good saying, but it will take some of your doing; some doing on our part. Have a great day! Be blessed!
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 Modern English Version)
