GIVING BIRTH TO YOUR DELIVERANCE

“The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34 17 NLT)

Today’s meditation, like yesterday’s, is based on inspiration from the same one-person performance that I attended at a local church last Friday night. The pre-birthday, worshipping celebration where there was a gathering of family and friends of a true servant of God, witnessed to the fact that she has been gifted with the ability to sing, speak powerful bible-based words. She used her gifts to show that praying to our God on His gracious throne of God are a privilege we should embrace. But let me be clear. It was no show. It was a sincere time of worship.

Following one of her creatively composed songs that concurred with the scriptures, this young lady enlisted the participation of the audience in repeating the word PUSH. She encouraged the collective repeating of that word as she weaved it into her prophesying on how many types of dilemmas, deep troubles, disturbances in relationships, desired rescue from distracting predicaments and detrimental temptations, and disheartening situations could be defeated. I still hear the dialogue that was comparable to the process of giving birth to a newborn baby. She showed us how to give birth to our deliverance.

These may not be the exact examples expressed Friday, but they are pretty close to the responsive exchanges between the birthday servant of God and the saints sitting in the pews. It went something like this, my friend! “PUSH – and you will give birth to the end of your dilemma!” “PUSH – and you will give birth to triumph over your troubles,” “PUSH – and you will find peace in your problematic disturbances,” “PUSH – and you will be saved from sinking in your distracting predicaments and your detrimental temptations and you can defeat your disheartening situations”

I went away thinking about the word “PUSH” and I remembered the old acronym where the letters in the acronym stood for “Pray Until Something Happens.”  Then I recalled the verse below, reminding me that when we call of the Lord, He hears us, and He does the delivering. We do what we can, living by His word, but the Lord, He will do the delivering.

Whatever you need deliverance from today, don’t forget to “PUSH!” Have a great Tuesday! Be blessed!

“I prayed to the LORD, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4 NLT)

Committed to the climb,
