The church where I have pastored since 1990 celebrates it anniversary today! The fact that we are still standing is something to celebrate. I think Heaven will be rejoicing with our congregation not just for hitting a milestone, but for continuing to be faithful over the years, regardless of changing attitude toward the value of church, regardless of the number of members, in spite of a pandemic, and add to that, in face of what I will call perilous times,
Yes, I think heaven will rejoice with us today! Heaven will not analyze our performance versus our Key Performance Indicators that we have used over the years, but Heaven will look at our ministries in general; work that indicates that we have been steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord! And when Heaven sees this to be true, Heaven will have reason to celebrate. On top of that, we can give Heaven a reason to celebrate with us today is because at our church, Christ crucified and resurrected has been preached every time someone ascends to the pulpit to deliver a message sent specifically by the Lord.
Oh! There is one more thing that I know for sure that will give Heaven a reason to celebrate today. That being if someone who is lost becomes found, someone blind will gain new spiritual sigh. someone crippled by sin will move from the multitude of the wicked to the multitude of the righteous, and someone will change their eternal destiny from hell to heaven. So, on this day, regardless of where you attend church and irrespective of the number of years your church has been in existence, let’s pray that one more soul will give their life to Christ today. Look! I’m not just talking! I’m not playing! I’m not merely writing these words! I’m asking you to pray as I described right now because there is power in prayer! So, will you please join me in praying; praying that someone will be saved today? My friend, if only one comes to Jesus, I guarantee you that we will have played a part in giving Heaven reason to celebrate.
Enjoy your service today! And don’t forget to thank the Lord for another day that you have never seen before! By all means, celebrate this new day, the Lord’s Day. Be blessed!
“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” (Luke 15:7 NIV)
Committed to the climb,

He is worthy to be praised!
Happy Anniversary, #35!
Thank you for your faithfulness.
Heaven is rejoicing for SALT has been steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. God gave us a leader who believes in the word who preaches the word and teaches the word. That makes heaven happy. Happy anniversary.
Amen! Let’s rejoice with Heaven! Thank you, Dr. Gloria,!
