GOD IS IN THE NEXT!

“When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2 The Living Bible)

We have heard the term “when” used to refer to something in the future; a time yet to come. “when I get older,” when I have enough money,” “when I don’t have to deal with that,” “when the kids grow up, when I am on my own,” “when I find the right one,” when I have time,” “when the storm passes over,” “when I feel like it,” and even ultimately it is used in the phrase of a song sung by believers, “when this life is over I’ll fly away to God’s celestial shores.”

In all those examples, merely samples of how we use the word “when,” they point to things that have yet to come. In addition to those instances, we inject the word “when” in anticipation of “come what may,” or perhaps, “what comes next in my life.”

Listen, mt friend! Whatever you are going through in the present time, whatever obstacles is in your way, whatever diagnosis the doctor has described; whatever your age may be today, whatever the status of your job security may be, if you are facing food insecurity, or whatever is frustrating you, I suggest that you turn in faith to God! By doing so, I am sure you will realize that whatever comes next in your life, God is in the next!

That’s something to be thankful for today and tomorrow as you hold hands and bless your holiday meal! Give thanks to the Lord for seeing you through, sustaining you, and providing for you regardless of what you may be facing, and have faith that whatever comes next child of God, like I said, “God is in the next.” Remember those five words! Be blessed!

“You should be courageous, not because of who you are and what you’ve done, but because of who God is and what He has done!” (Quote by Wayne A. Mack)
