BE ENCOURAGED!

“Don’t give up! You’re on the brink of a miracle. Don’t give up! You’re on the brink of a miracles. Don’t give up! You are on the brink of a miracles, for God is still on the throne!” (Except from song by Jessica Chastain)

This is your Monday Short meditation. Maybe you will decide that this does not speak to your personal situation right now, at this very moment, but I promised you that at some time in your life, you will realize that this meditation was specifically for you. In brevity beloved, I just want to encourage you by telling you that God is not through with you yet. Whether what you are going through, in your mind, has been long enough, or in reality it has been a long time as humans define “long,” God is not through with you yet. So, knowing that, look at your situation differently. Be encouraged!

Instead of focusing on what happened to depress you, think of what God is going to do to deliver you. As opposed to thinking about a break-up, look ahead by faith to the breakthrough that God has for you. If you are wondering if your change will come, stop wondering and keep watching for the Lord to show up right on time. In the event that life has been unexpectedly interrupted by something that seems like it is going to have a lasting effect on you, change the prism you are looking through from the interruption to God’s intervention. And just in case you don’t know, when God intervenes, you are on the brink of a miracle. Be encouraged!

Your cloudy days where sunlight is hidden from view will give way to the light from heaven that’s going to shine on you. Surrounded by controversy, conflict, and conditions that seem to be constantly getting worse and worse, child of God, saturate your thoughts on the certainty expressed in the word of God. The Lord is your light and your salvation!  The Lord is your very present help in times of trouble!  The Lord helps them and rescues them; He rescues them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him! The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior! The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one! The Lord He gives strength to the weary, and to the one who lacks might He increases power. Be encouraged!

Finally, like the man in the verses below, do what the Lord tells you to do! Do your part by doing what He instructs you to do and walk into a better day! Be encouraged! Be blessed!

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’ ‘Sir,’ the invalid replied, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.’  At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.” (John 5:1-8 NIV)

Committed to the climb,
