“If you had to identify, in one word, why the human race has not achieved, and will never achieve its full potential, that word would be meetings!’” (Quote by Dave Barry on Goodreads)
In the workplace there are numeral meetings that many people dread. You know that I’m right about it. There is the Monday staff meeting, the early Monday executive team meeting, the late Monday afternoon all-managers meeting, the daily start up meeting, the filtering information down to department meetings, etc., etc. Sometimes it seems like meetings are held, borrowing words from my youngest son, “for no good reason.”
Often when a meeting is announced, people say aloud enough for other to hear their displeasure or either they silently say to themselves, “Another Meeting!” As they say people, “I feel ya!” But please note that there is “The Exception.” There is a meeting that is edifying, educational, entirely beneficial, exciting, and it ensures interaction with a Person who is always present. The Person is the Lord. The place is the church, where the saints assemble together. The time for this meeting is weekly at a particular location, referred to as the local church. The persons who attend this meeting are saints, saved folks, and those seeking to be saved.
There is a “Another Meeting” scheduled for tomorrow morning. Some of your friends and family members will not go, but why don’t you be “The Exception?” Be blessed!
“Let us, as well, stir up one another’s minds to energetic effort in love and good works. We mustn’t neglect meeting together, as some are now doing. Instead, we must encourage one another, and all the more as you can see the great day coming closer.” (New Testament for Everyone Bible)
Committed to the climb,
