WHAT DID YOU DO WITH YOURS?

“He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” Luke 19:40 ESV)

This is your Monday Short meditation. For real, this week! Every year, Sis. M. brings palm branches for everyone who attends worship service on Palm Sunday. This year was no exception. Sunday, I put mine in the backseat of my car. Friday, I noticed that it was still there. As I looked at it, it made me think about the praise that Jesus received on Palm Sunday. I also wandered about how lasting the praise associated with the Lord’s entry into Jerusalem lasted for believers today.

In the biblical account, unfortunately, and probably in reality, by Friday, there were some members of the group opposing Jesus who influenced the crowd to put away forget their praise and join in with the chorus of voices say, “Crucify Him!”  What did they do with their praise? Was it set aside because of the outside influence that caused them to forget it? Was it their disappointment that Jesus was not the type of king they were looking to come into the city? Was it a lack of faith? I can speculate and provide answers too, but that’s not my purpose today.

What I really want to know pertains to you personally. Here is my question, “What did you do with yours?” If you are confused, let me make sure that you know I am not talking about your palm leaf. No! I want to know where your praise is. Hopefully, you have not let the noise of the world or voices of unbelievers cause you to lose your praise. Keep it going! He is worthy of our praise! As a matter of fact, you should spend a minute praising Him right now! Be blessed!
