DO YOU NEED A DOCTOR’S NOTE?

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NLT)

I’m sure your mind flashed back to the days where you had missed work or school and you found it necessary to go to the doctor.  The doctor or his or her nurse would ask, “Do you need a doctor’s note?”  The intent was to help you avoid discord or having to defend yourself when you showed back up at your job or to school to attend your classes.  Well this morning, “The Doctor,” “The Doctor Who Never Lost a Patient, “ He, being the Head Doctor, directed me to give you a “Doctor’s note this morning.  So, sorry, no story, unless you inject yourself by making the note applicable to your life on this Thursday morning.  Listen, I have to follow “The Doctor’s” Orders.”  He does not merely think this will help you, but He absolutely knows it will help you! You will find relief, experience a release, or if applicable, renew your rigorous journey to recovery.  So as they say, without further ado, here’s your “Doctor’s note.”  As the nurse used to ask, “Do you need a doctor’s note?”  Yes, actually we all do my friend, and “we” includes you.

“Shall I look to the mountain gods for help? No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains! And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For he is always watching, never sleeping.  Jehovah himself is caring for you! He is your defender. He protects you day and night. He keeps you from all evil and preserves your life. He keeps his eye upon you as you come and go and always guards you.” (Psalm 121:1-8 The Living Bible)

Have a great day! Now listen!  Don’t forget it after leaving this page. Take your note from “The Doctor” with you!  Put it in your consciousness, as well as in your heart!  You need this note as a reminder, no matter what you face or what you have been facing that has just carried over into this day! Be blessed!

“I have carried you along. I will still be the same when you are old and gray, and I will take care of you. I created you. I will carry you and always keep you safe.” (Isaiah 46:3b-4 Contemporary English Version)

Still committed to the climb,

Mark L. King
