“For Ezra had firmly resolved to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.” (Ezra 5:7:10 NASB)
Oh, I know my children do not like me to mention them by name my writings. They would rather you guess which one I am referring to when I mention them in these meditations. I used Michael’s name today, but you can think about all the other ones: Liz, Marcus, Marci, Eliott (one “L” and two “Ts”), Mark-Christian, and Garrison when it comes to what I am about to say this morning. Be like Mike.
Mike looks at and/or ponder on the opening and closing verses in context before reading the content of the meditations that I pen. There it is! If you want to be like “Mike,” don’t just read the verse or verses that I include in my daily meditations, but go further and read the text in the context of the passage that I have taken it from, or at the minimum, refer to the stored-up Scriptures in your heart to reveal even greater insights that are intimately and timely. Specifically for you. I guarantee that you will be blessed even more. You will gain greater understanding and you will be further equipped to practice the word and teach the word by mouth or by your actions to people who need to hear what God has said.
It’s Saturday, still dark, but it’s Saturday morning. The emphasis is on “Saturday,” so I have kept this short and sweet. Nevertheless, I hope my brevity has made a big point and also give you a few more minutes to get things done today. Then when tomorrow comes, Sunday, the Lord’s day, the time to worship, you will not have any excuses. Stay God-conscious! Love you all! You too, my children! Smile! Laugh! Get in the word y’all and be blessed greatly! And all of you reading this morning, you be edified tomorrow when you are glad to be in the service, one more time! Be blessed!
He handed me the scroll and said, “Eat this and fill up on it.” So I ate the scroll, and it tasted sweet as honey.” (Ezekiel 3:2-3 Contemporary English Version)
Still committed to the climb,
