“The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human ]measurements, which are also angelic measurements.” (Revelation 21:16-17 NASB)
A medical news report said the length of the intestines in people who donated their body to science suggests an average total intestinal length of about 26 feet, with a range of 21.9 feet to 30.3 feet! I’m not a scientist or a Doctor of Medicine, but surely the small and large intestines combined have to be the largest part of the body. But wait a minute, maybe I have not considered all information available. I got a new report, entitled, “The Book Of Revelation.” It changed my mind! How could that be? Read on and I’ll make it plain.
The largest part of the body, or better said, for the body of Christ, is heaven. That place where we all, believers, can experience the following lyrics live, “When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!” Look at the facts, whether literal or figurative, derived from John’s writing by a lady merely known as “Shirley,” whose Bible was donated to a thrift store. And I got it free! Heaven:
- The city was 1200 furlongs square.
- Fifteen hundred miles square.
- In one mile square alone, there were 3 billion, 315 million rooms.
Shirley must have been a math major or perhaps took Physics at the secondary level. Her presentation of facts is like the steps in a geometric proof that we would do in Mr. Oldham’s course at Crispus Attucks in Indianapolis. Heaven undoubtedly is the bigger part for the body of Christ! And yes, “There is plenty good room in the Father’s kingdom!” And yes, I can say to other believers, “I got a room! You got a room! All of God’s children got a room!” Most of us have loved ones that have already seen the land where we are bound! So I can rejoice with the reassurance John’s epistle provided! I can rebound from anything I go through here, knowing I won’t have to go through it there! However, in the meantime, I can, I must, return to doing the work of the Lord. Listen, just as food travels through the largest part of the human body per medical news reports, we must travel through this barren land as sojourners with patience and joy. For we know our citizenship is in heaven! Yes! Yes! Yes! Go ahead and praise God to begin your day! Thank Him for Jesus who went to prepare a place for us! Yes! Yes! Yes! Have a great Friday! Be blessed!
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21NKJV)
Still committed to the climb,
